Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking an Advanced Recovery Practitioner to join the RECONNECT team at County Hall, Leicester. You will support service users preparing for release from custody and coordinate post-release care to promote engagement in structured treatment.

The role requires experience in substance use treatment, risk management, and health and social care. A driving license and car are essential; prison visits are required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional report writing and case notes.
• Demonstrable experience in a substance use treatment and recovery setting.
• Understanding of risk and risk management as it applies to substance use and complexity.
• Significant experience of working in health and social care.

Responsibilities

• Co-locate at County Hall to work with the RECONNECT team.
• Manage a caseload of service users resettling back into the community from custody.
• Visit prisons to assess needs prior to release and ensure continuity of care post release.
• Signpost and coordinate support with multi‑agency partners.
• Attend and contribute to relevant meetings and share information with Turning Point.
