Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Sonographer to join the ultrasound department at Royal Preston Hospital, with potential rotation to other local sites. The role supports training and development in specialised ultrasound fields and welcomes trainees nearing qualification.

Qualifications

• Wide range of ultrasound experience across obstetrics, gynecology, abdomen, breast, pediatrics, musculoskeletal and vascular.
• Recent and relevant CPD with portfolio documentation.
• UK professional registration (HCPC/NMC) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a wide range of ultrasound examinations independently and report on at least 95% of procedures.
• Provide training and supervision to other Sonographers and medical staff.
• Participate in in-house cascade training and CPD activities.
• Support and mentor students and junior radiographers.
• Contribute to development of ultrasound services and clinical governance.
