University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an autonomous General Medical Sonographer to join its dynamic imaging team. The role covers abdominal, gynaecological, DVT and testicular scans across Royal Stoke University Hospital and associated sites, with a routine 7-day service in a fast-paced environment.
You will work within a busy department supported by lead subspecialty sonographers and contribute to the training framework for new trainees.

You must have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working, with a commitment to providing an efficient and quality ultrasound service.
We are looking for an autonomous practitioner who can independently scan and report a range of diagnostic ultrasound scans in line with National, Trust and Department protocols.
We are a large, modern department with a range of newly installed equipment.
We are a fast paced, dynamic and vibrant service with an interesting and challenging case load.
You will work across a range of centres including our main site Royal Stoke University Hospital a Major trauma Centre, County Hospital Stafford, Stoke on Trent Community Diagnostic Centre and Haywood Community Hospital.
As part of a rotational team of general medical sonographers supporting our busy acute in-patient and emergency portals 7 days a week, your scan remit will include abdominal, gynaecological, DVT and testicular examinations.
You will also support delivery of our GP and outpatient general ultrasound services across all sites, working alongside a supportive team of lead subspeciality sonographers, whose remit encompasses diagnostic vascular, head & neck, paediatric and MSK ultrasound.
We are a training centre with all sonographers contributing to the training framework for trainees from the start to transition into advanced practice.
Non Obstetric Ultrasound is within the Imaging Department and the Clinical and Scientific Services Care group.
