Job description

As an Advanced Practitioner Mammographer, you will work as an autonomous practitioner within symptomatic breast services, undertaking a wide range of clinical responsibilities including:

  • Advanced interpretation and reporting of mammograms 2D and 3D tomosynthesis mammograms
  • Breast and axilla ultrasound assessment
  • Delivery of interventional procedures, including:
  • Aspiration
  • Biopsy (Ultrasound guided and stereotactic biopsy + Clip marker and Magseed placement)
  • Participation in weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
  • Significant involvement in direct patient care, particularly within onestop clinics and followup pathways

This post requires the use of advanced clinical judgement and decisionmaking, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes and experience.
