Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner Mammographer for its Breast Radiology Team in North Devon. You will work autonomously in symptomatic services, performing mammography interpretation, ultrasound assessment, and interventional procedures within one-stop clinics and follow-up pathways.

As an Advanced Practitioner Mammographer, you will work as an autonomous practitioner within symptomatic breast services, undertaking a wide range of clinical responsibilities including:

• Advanced interpretation and reporting of mammograms2D and 3D tomosynthesis mammograms
• Breast and axilla ultrasound assessment
• Delivery of interventional procedures, including:
  • Aspiration
  • Biopsy (Ultrasound guided and stereotactic biopsy
  • Clip marker and Magseed placement
• Participation in weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
• Significant involvement in direct patient care, particularly within one‑stop clinics and follow‑up pathways

This post requires the use of advanced clinical judgement and decision‑making, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes and experience.
