Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Community Nursing team in Okehampton. To provide Registered Nursing care to patients in their own homes, including Residential Care Homes, including Wound care, Catheter care, Post op care, End of Life care, Drain management, IV skills, Phlebotomy and much more.

Provide education to patients, their families and formal carers

Multi Disciplinary team working with Therapists and Social Care Colleagues, as well as Primary care.

Contributing to audits and safer staffing tools to help improve patient care, Due to maternity leave, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking registered nurse to join our friendly and supportive community nursing team based in Okehampton, part of the Mid Devon locality. The successful applicant will need a willingness to work across the wider Okehampton area as required, and be able to demonstate a confidence and passion to deliver high quality compassionate care to patients in their own homes. A skill set covering a wide range of nursing interventions is desirable, but training will be available to up skill as required, and a car driver is a must due to the rurality of the area. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in Community Nursing to try this speciality of Nursing, where every day is different.
