Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner for the Emergency Department at Band 8a. The post holder will practice autonomously, providing patient-centred clinical care with advanced assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the department.

The role combines an 80% clinical component with 20% dedicated to professional development, including RCEM e-portfolio credentialing and ongoing supervision, audits, teaching

Qualifications

Essential: Professional Registration NMC.
Essential: Non-Medical prescribing course.
Essential: MSc in clinical practice.
Essential: Advanced Life Support qualification.

Responsibilities

The post holder will deliver an 80% clinical component to their role, with 20% focused on clinical professional development underpinned by the advanced practice framework.
Credentialing via the RCEM e-portfolio and ongoing appraisal, clinical audit, teaching, and research allocated as part of a clear job plan.
