• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with UK registration.
• Degree in nursing studies or relevant clinical degree.
• Mentorship certificate/Practice Assessor training or demonstrable equivalent experience.

• Non-medical prescribing or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• The Band 6/7 Ward Practitioner will work autonomously within the Orthopaedic Directorate, providing daily clinical review of inpatients across both sites.
• Assess patients, monitor results and investigations, identify concerns, support discharge planning and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Work with consultants, junior doctors, nursing and therapy teams to optimise patient flow and safety.
• Lead practitioner led clinics and contribute to pathways development, hospital discharge and reducing avoidable admissions.
