Job Summary

We are recruiting for an Advanced Oncology Pharmacist - Electronic Prescribing who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

As the Advanced Pharmacist - Electronic Prescribing, you will lead, manage, and develop operational pharmacy services to ensure that patients receive safe, high-quality, and clinically effective pharmaceutical care.

Main Duties of the Job

1. Lead and manage the strategy, design, and development of the Electronic Prescribing (EP) system for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
2. Maintain the EP system, electronic referrals, and electronic Patient Reported Outcome Measures for SACT.
3. Provide support and leadership for all aspects of SACT EP.
4. Facilitate the delivery of the oncology pharmacy service at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, focusing on electronic prescribing.
5. Develop policies and procedures to ensure safe medication practices related to electronic prescribing.
6. Apply specialist knowledge to develop pharmacist prescribing roles, managing clinical treatment plans post-diagnosis.
7. Promote the safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medicines by providing expert advice on oncology pharmacy issues.
8. Contribute to the pharmacy management team to help deliver the department's strategic vision and business plan aligned with cancer centre and trust strategies.
