We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking GP practice.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours across 5 days, providing consistent ANP cover throughout the working week. You will work as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, managing patients with acute and minor illness, assessing undifferentiated presentations, prescribing where appropriate and supporting the delivery of high-quality same-day care.

We are a busy practice, but one with a strong team ethos and a real focus on providing accessible, personalised care for our patients. You will have the autonomy to manage your own clinical workload while having the support of an experienced GP, nursing and wider practice team.

We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and enjoys working collaboratively in General Practice. In return, we offer a supportive working environment, competitive salary and a range of additional staff benefits, with opportunities to develop your role within the practice.

Main duties of the job
  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and minor illness.
  • Independently manage undifferentiated clinical presentations.
  • Prescribe medication within scope of practice.
  • Request and interpret appropriate investigations.
  • Provide treatment, advice, onward referral and safety-netting.
  • Work closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and work in accordance with practice policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Support the delivery of safe, effective and responsive General Practice services.
About us

St Andrews Medical Centre is a large, friendly and forward-thinking GP practice in Eccles, caring for around 16,000 patients. We have a well-established multidisciplinary team including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, GP Assistants, care coordinators and an experienced administration team.

We are proud of the service we provide and of the feedback we receive from our patients. The practice performs very strongly in the national GP Patient Survey, ranking highly locally across Salford and Greater Manchester, and we maintain an excellent Google rating with hundreds of patient reviews. Our Friends and Family Test feedback is also consistently very positive.

We are busy, but have a strong team ethos and genuinely support one another. We focus on accessible, personalised patient care and encourage our clinicians to work autonomously while having the support of an experienced clinical team around them.

We value our staff, encourage development and welcome new ideas. Benefits include private healthcare, NHS car scheme, onsite gym, free parking and NHS Pension Scheme membership where eligible.
