Job summary
The Wyre Forest Health Partnership is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Bewdley Medical Centre in Worcestershire. The role is full-time (37 hours) with potential part-time or flexible working.
You will provide comprehensive care, including history taking, assessments, diagnosis, treatment and home visits, supported by a skilled multi-disciplinary team. Applicants must be an NMC-registered prescriber, with ACP or equivalent qualifications.
Qualifications
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Independent prescribing qualification (or working towards).
- Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (or working towards).
- Experience working as an autonomous practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions for patients with undifferentiated diagnoses.
- Treat patients and make necessary referrals to other primary health care team members.
- Ensure clinical practice is safe, within competence boundaries, and well documented.

Bewdley Medical Centre is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. Trainees and clinicians looking to begin ACP training would also be considered. Part Time, Job Share or flexible working practices would be considered. Bewdley Medical Centre has an experienced team of six GP Partners and six Salaried GP's along with a team of other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate should be an experienced nurse capable of operating within their professional boundaries to deliver comprehensive care for patients attending the practice. This includes tasks such as initial history taking, clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and care evaluation. The role demands safe and informed clinical decision‑making, along with expert care that encompasses both in‑house consultations and home visits. The candidate should demonstrate advanced clinical decision‑making and diagnostic skills suitable for general practice. The candidate must be a registered independent prescriber with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Applicants who are Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) or Paramedics will also be considered, provided they have the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) qualification and are qualified prescribers. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are looking to work in a supportive and dynamic practice environment.
They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. As part of the Wyre Forest Health Partnership, the role will be based at Bewdley Medical Centre, with the opportunity to work at other WFHP sites by agreement.

WFHP has been operating since December 2014 as a single Partnership, operating out of 5 surgeries, 3 are purpose built. We operate at scale and are at the forefront of primary care delivery in how we organise ourselves, having management and leverage for a large number of primary care employees (c250 people & c50 GPs). We also look after c 72 000 patients. We have a very strong quality improvement ethic, and are always looking to improve.

- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis.
- Treat patients wishing to see a health care professional making any necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team.
- Ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence and to acknowledge limitations.
- Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded.
- Prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework and considering the Worcestershire prescribing formula guidelines.
- To liaise with a doctor regarding patients with complex problems who need the expertise of a general practitioner.

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication skills.
- Displays self-confidence and self-awareness especially in dealing with staff and patients.
- Ability to articulate the rationale for decisions.
- Clinical examination skills.
- Experience in general practice.
