Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Digital Systems and Storage Engineer to ensure continuous IT services across departments. You will be a key technical resource, advising staff and management, and delivering specialist expertise in server and virtualization technologies.

The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work unsupervised, and participation in a Digital On Call Rota, with a commitment to our values and patient-focused service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• ITIL V4 Foundation certification desirable.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, VMware) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an effective, efficient and trusted IT server/storage environment within the Trust.
• Support disaster recovery arrangements and contingency planning, including testing.
• Ensure computer security processes and backup strategies for all Trust systems.
• Maintain server integrity and perform regular backup checks and test restores.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support to Service Desk, IT Desktop, Networks, Implementation and Development and Operations.
• Assist with project rollouts, planned work and moves.
