The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking advanced clinical practitioners, nurse and advanced nurse practitioners for its out-of-hours bank. Roles involve assessing and diagnosing complex presentations, managing acute and chronic conditions, and prescribing.

Shifts are onsite and include evenings and weekends; you bid for shifts you want. Applicants must have full NMC registration with no restrictions, Non-Medical Prescriber V300, and autonomous urgent care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care for patients with undifferentiated, undiagnosed conditions and complex needs.
• Clinically examine patients and assess their physiological and psychological needs, then plan their care.
• Identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing long-term conditions.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using both drug and non-drug treatment.
• Prescribe and review medication for effectiveness, within scope of practice, evidence-based practice and local protocols.
• Support patients to comply with and adhere to prescribed treatments.
• Advise patients on prescribed and over-the-counter medication, regimens, side-effects and interactions

Primary Care 24's out-of-hours service is recruiting advanced clinical practitioners, nurse and advanced nurse practitioners to its bank. The work centres on assessing and diagnosing undifferentiated and complex presentations, managing acute and chronic conditions, and prescribing. Shifts are onsite and round the clock, covering weekday evenings from 6pm and weekends, and bank staff bid for the shifts they want. Fit depends on full NMC registration, non-medical prescribing and experience of autonomous practice in urgent care.

What the job involves

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care for patients with undifferentiated, undiagnosed conditions and complex needs
• Clinically examine patients and assess their physiological and psychological needs, then plan their care
• Identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing long-term conditions
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using both drug and non-drug treatment

Nice to have

• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, or working towards one
• Relevant experience, which is encouraged alongside working towards the MSc
