Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner for a part-time role (22.5 hours) in GP practice settings in Grimsby. The post includes GP clinical supervision and clear escalation routes, with full NMC registration and autonomous clinical practice required.

Non-medical prescriber (V300) is preferred, and experience in primary care is essential to deliver comprehensive health assessments for adults and paediatric patients under NHS contracts.

Job description

Advanced Clinical Practitioner post with Primary Care 24 (PC24), a not-for-profit social enterprise that mainly delivers NHS contracts, working in GP practice settings. The work centres on comprehensive health assessments for adults and children, diagnosing undifferentiated conditions and running a clinical caseload with a high degree of autonomy. It is a part-time salaried role of 22.5 hours across weekday shifts, with GP clinical supervision and clear escalation routes available. Candidates need full NMC registration with no restrictions and prior experience of working autonomously in a GP practice.

What the job involves

• Undertake comprehensive health assessments for adult and paediatric patients, with holistic care planning
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment for undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
• Perform clinical examinations and interpret findings from physiological and psychological perspectives
• Manage a clinical caseload with a high degree of autonomy, making safe and timely decisions within governance frameworks
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement and multidisciplinary working
• Maintain professional competence and development in line with regulatory requirements
• Act as a senior clinician within the practice team
