Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced clinician to lead community care and urgent response services. You will apply advanced clinical skills to assess and manage unscheduled cases, and mentor junior staff to deliver high‑quality care across the trust’s locality.

The role requires travel across the service area, strong leadership, and commitment to safeguarding principles within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or HCPC registration for related professions
• MSc / PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
• Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
• Evidence of management/leadership training
• Evidence of teaching demonstrated by a suitable qualification or accredited experience
• Further desired qualifications in Primary Care/ Accident & Emergency are a plus

Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or
• Physiotherapist or Paramedic with HCPC registration
• MSc / PGdip Advanced Clinical Practice
• Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
• Evidence of Management/ Leadership training
• Evidence of teaching demonstrated by a suitable qualification or accredited experience

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of continuing professional education and training at master's level.
• Further desirable qualifications in Primary Care/ Accident & Emergency
• Recognised qualification in Minor Injuries

Experience

Essential criteria

• Extensive experience in Community Care and/or Primary
• Care and/ or Accident & Emergency
• Experience in a clinical leadership/ management role within a complex healthcare environment
• Extensive theoretical & practical knowledge relating to assessment & treatment of minor injuries and illnesses
• Proven experience of utilising expert diagnostic and clinical skills to provide autonomous, unscheduled medical care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
• Experience of assessing and providing quality care to people with Long Term Conditions
• Track record of practice excellence
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
• Experience of team / service/ staff management including HR processes
• Experience of implementing evidence-based care and developing others to do so
• Experience of change management and implementing change in practice
• Evidence of innovation in practice
