Join a leading healthcare team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. We're looking for registered professionals dedicated to exceptional patient care and interested in roles that offer development and training opportunities. Benefit from professional growth, ongoing support, and numerous staff perks while making a significant impact on community health.
Do you hold current registration with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC? If so, further opportunities have become available to join our growing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) working across University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB), including opportunities in Frailty and Emergency Medicine (ED).
Practitioners registered with any of the regulatory bodies stated above, who hold the relevant qualifications, meet the application criteria, and are motivated, flexible, and experienced with a demonstrable passion for clinical practice, are invited to apply.
We have a range of vacancies in the Emergency Department and our Acute Frailty Service for trainee ACPs, as well as qualified ACPs at band 8A.
Aspiring Advanced Practitioners are welcome to apply for a trainee post at Band 6 or 7 depending on experience and post-registration education. Trainees will be supported to complete a three-year MSc and workplace-based portfolio.
Advanced Clinical Practice is well established at UHDB and is seen as integral to delivering high-quality and safe patient care across the Trust. You could be joining an extremely progressive team that continues to develop to meet the needs of our patients.
Training will involve supporting you to become an advanced, skilled, generic practitioner with transferable skills. You will be required to be flexible to meet service needs. Trained ACPs will also have the opportunity to discuss rotations within the role.
As the Trust strives to provide standardised care to all patients admitted across a seven-day period, you will be required to work a full pattern of shifts, including weekends.
Shift patterns will vary depending on the area of practice at any given time, as care is centred on service requirements.
Closing date of applications: 17 June 2025
Interview date: 1 July 2025
