Job description

Job Opportunity: Clinical Pharmacist & Educator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated, and experienced clinical pharmacist with a passion for education and training to contribute to developing the next generation of pharmacists.

This joint post is between Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STHFT) and The University of Sheffield MPharm programme. The clinical educator will:

1. Develop and deliver teaching and assessment at the university.
2. Support experiential learning in the workplace.
3. Work as part of the STHFT clinical pharmacy team to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in wards and departments within the trust.

The ideal candidate must be a registered pharmacist with a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent, and have experience in education and training. Essential skills include excellent time management, prioritisation, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

The post holder will also contribute to clinical pharmacy services within an agreed specialty and support medicines management and optimisation across the patient care pathway. Responsibilities include participating in the 1 in 5 weekend and bank holiday service and the late-night (up to 8 pm) rota.
