Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset seeks a Highly Specialised Cardiac Echocardiographer (Band 7) to join the Cardiac Physiology team. You will carry out advanced echocardiography services at two hospital sites and participate in in-house training for junior physiologists.

The role involves rotating weekend work with a standard day schedule, and requires BSE accreditation, a Cardiac Physiology degree (or equivalent), and RCCP registration. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• BSE Accreditation is required.
• BSc in Cardiac Physiology or BTEC HNC or equivalent.
• RCCP registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Main duties include performing echocardiography studies across two sites.
• Support 3D echocardiography, bubble and contrast studies, and stress echo procedures.
• Contribute to training and assessment of junior staff.
