Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset is expanding its cardiac physiology team, offering an echocardiography role across the Trust's two sites. The post focuses on standard transthoracic studies with 3D, bubble, contrast and stress echo, plus support for TOE and in-house training of junior physiologists.

The role includes training and assessing junior staff, with four-day weeks and standard hours (08:00–18:00). Part-time applicants will be considered, and you must hold full TTE BSE accreditation.

Qualifications

• BSE accreditation required.
• BSc in Cardiac Physiology, BTEC HNC or equivalent.
• Post-registration experience as a cardiac physiologist desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard transthoracic echocardiography studies.
• Carry out 3D echocardiograms and bubble/contrast studies.
• Perform stress echo procedures and TOE support.
• Provide in-house training for junior physiologists and staff.
• Train and assess junior team members and other professionals.
• Work Saturdays on a rotational basis as required.
