Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Band 7 Echocardiographer in Dorchester to provide highly specialist cardiac physiology support. You will perform, interpret and report echocardiograms, deliver advanced Echo services and mentor junior staff within a collaborative team in Dorset.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, complex patient assessments and close collaboration with cardiology to ensure high-quality cardiac diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Relevant Cardiac Physiology qualification and accreditation for the role.
• Experience in echocardiography and cardiology services is preferred.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret and independently report echocardiograms to a high standard.
• Deliver highly specialised echocardiography services as part of the Echo team.
• Conduct complex patient assessments with detailed interpretation of findings.
• Support Cardiologists, GPs and multidisciplinary teams with expert medical guidance.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior Cardiac Physiologists and apprentices.
• Manage scheduling, workflows and escalation processes for community Echo services.
• Support audit, governance, quality assurance and service improvements.
• Assist with waiting list management and operational service delivery to maximise access.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and diagnostic reports.
• Deputise for the Lead Echo Cardiac Physiologist when required.
