Job summary

Coventry City Council is recruiting two experienced Social Workers for its Adult Social Care Mental Health Service in Coventry. This locum role offers a competitive umbrella rate of £28.40 per hour for umbrella workers (equivalent to £20.74 PAYE) and involves working within a recovery-focused service to support adults with complex mental health needs.

Ideal candidates will register with Social Work England and bring extensive experience of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Extensive experience of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act.
• Experience with adults receiving secondary mental health services.
• Strong risk assessment and risk management experience.
• Experience completing Section 117 reviews.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy duty service.
• Proven experience of multi-disciplinary working.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning.
• Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions.
• Manage complex caseloads within Adult Mental Health Services.
• Complete and review Section 117 aftercare arrangements.
• Work within a busy duty system, responding to urgent referrals and safeguarding concerns.
• Undertake risk assessments and risk management planning.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including health professionals and partner agencies.
• Promote recovery-focused interventions to support positive outcomes for service users.
