Coventry City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker for its Adult Mental Health Team in a fixed-term role. You will support adults from refugees, asylum seekers and migrant backgrounds, delivering strengths-based assessments and person-centred care.

You will work with Coventry's Migration Team and partner agencies to promote recovery, safeguarding and social inclusion, using trauma-informed and culturally aware practices. DBS check will be required.

Formación

• Qualified Social Worker with Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent.
• Experience in adult social care, particularly mental health.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983.
• Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and NRPF.
• Ability to work in partnership with statutory and voluntary sectors.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake strengths-based and Care Act assessments for adults with mental health needs.
• Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans.
• Collaborate with health colleagues, housing providers and voluntary sector organisations.
• Provide advocacy and support to diverse communities facing language or cultural barriers.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
