Job summary

Coventry City Council is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join the Adult Social Care Mental Health Service in Coventry. This locum role focuses on recovery-oriented support for adults with complex mental health needs.

You will undertake Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Act decisions, and Section 117 aftercare planning, working in a busy duty system with a multi-disciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration required.
• Extensive experience of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act.
• Experience with adults receiving secondary mental health services.
• Strong risk assessment and risk management experience.
• Experience completing Section 117 reviews.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy duty service.
• Proven experience of multi-disciplinary working.
• Caseload management for individuals with mental health and autism diagnoses.
• Deliver recovery-focused social work interventions.
• Complete Care Act and Mental Capacity Act assessments.
• Participate in risk assessment and management processes.
• Conduct Section 117 Mental Health Act reviews.
• Work with health professionals and wider teams.
• Support individuals with complex needs to achieve positive outcomes.
