Your new role: This role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental illness. You will assist with daily living activities, providing personal care when necessary. A significant part of the role is facilitating individuals' access to the community for leisure activities and appointments. You will have the opportunity to positively impact people's lives by promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life. Shift patterns are days only, from 8am to 8:30pm.
What you will need to succeed: Experience in the social care sector is not essential, as training and a buddy system will support your induction. You must be committed to completing this training and any further required training. This will help you gain qualifications and experience for a career in social care. It is important to be friendly and approachable to communicate effectively with those you care for and your team. Due to the need for community access and transportation, driving is essential for this role.
