Job description

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a respected local authority, based in Berkshire, which needs an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied and meaningful caseload while supporting three different local authorities.

Job Details
  • Role: Adult Social Care Lawyer
  • Location: Berkshire – remote working
  • Umbrella rate: £50 - £55 per hour
  • PAYE Inc. rate: £44.10 - £48.44 per hour
  • Contract length: 3 months ongoing
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a mixed caseload of Adult Social Care law from start to completion.
  • Handle legal matters including deprivation of liberty, ordinary residence, welfare matters, deputyship, age assessments, and judicial review.
  • Attend court on behalf of the council when required.
Requirements
  • A Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with litigation accreditation and a current practising certificate.
  • Over 5 years of PQE in Adult Social Care law.
  • Have a strong understanding of the structural frameworks of local authority organisations.
Benefits

Remote working bar the requirement to attend the Civic Offices in Reading or court when necessary.

Weekly pay: the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
