Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker in Barry to support adults with learning disabilities to live independently in residential, supported living, or day services.

We offer day, night and sleep shifts with competitive pay of £14.24 per hour, plus weekly pay and flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle. You will assist with daily tasks, encourage life skills, and support emotional wellbeing, safety, and dignity.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to pay for one.
• The right to work in the UK and ability to work above 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday tasks, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and appointments.
• Promote independence and life skills development.

The service users are aged 18 and upwards with autism spectrum conditions and associated complex needs. You’ll be working within residential, supported living, or day services and assisting residents through a care pathway to help them live as independently as possible.

The candidate:

What you’ll need to be successful as an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker

• At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
