Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is recruiting four Basic Skills Training Tutors to support post-16 learners in Neath Port Talbot. The role offers part-time or full-time hours with a mobile/hybrid working pattern, enabling work from home and council workplaces.

You will develop and deliver basic skills programmes, support learners, and work with the team to assess needs and provide progress opportunities. A minimum Level 3 teaching qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering post-16 provision.
• Experience working with post-16 learners.
• Possess relevant subject area experience/qualification.
• Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification per sector standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Basic Skills delivery programme.
• Deliver Basic Skills courses to support learners with life skills and progression.
• Provide guidance to learners to achieve their potential.
• Complete lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments and accreditation on time.
• Undertake teaching sessions in line with the programme.
