Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 6 JNC qualification in youth work is required.
• Understanding of attachment and the impact of developmental trauma.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of legislation and policies related to adoption and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusting and therapeutic relationships with young people.
• Work collaboratively with adoptive families, social workers, and partner agencies.
• Facilitate direct work, group activities, and participation opportunities.
• Ensure that the voice of the young person is central to service delivery.
• Advocate for young people, empowering them to develop confidence and strengthen family relationships.
