Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council’s Permanence Support Team seeks a Social Worker with 3+ years PQE in adoption. You’ll contribute to post-order support for adopters, children, and families, with a focus on high-quality assessments, analytics, and robust reporting. The role emphasizes safeguarding, policy adherence, and continuous service improvement.

You’ll join a supportive, ambitious team and may experience office base changes as locations shift, with a commitment to flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

• Social Worker with at least three years post qualifying experience in adoption.
• Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills.
• Good understanding of the needs of adoptive families.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Managers in the operational management of the team, ensuring high standards of service.
• Ensure services to users are delivered and developed according to Adopt Thames Valley policies and guidance.
• Plan and deliver services to maximise participation and reflect Children’s Rights in relation to services.
• Adhere to Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and raise concerns accordingly.
