Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to manage fostering caseloads, ensuring the voices and needs of young people in care are heard. You will work with a strengths-based approach and deliver high-quality services aligned with national guidance.

The role requires SWE registration, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to travel to visit clients and attend meetings across Oxfordshire. Flexible working and strong learning opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with SWE registration.
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing and cycle of change is beneficial.
• Able to travel to visit clients and attend meetings countywide.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of foster carers and children, ensuring voices are heard and needs are met.
• Prepare and submit written reports as required.
• Maintain accurate case records using ICT and record activity for performance data.
• Work with safeguarding policies, guidance and procedures relevant to government/local initiatives.
