Job summary

St Elizabeth's College seeks an Admissions Manager to lead the admissions journey from enquiry to placement, coordinating assessments and visits, and building strong ties with families, local authorities and external agencies.

You will work closely with Education, Care, Health and Therapy teams to optimize occupancy, processes and applicant experiences while delivering high-quality customer service. This on-site role requires flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing admissions, referrals or a similar customer-focused service.
• Experience within education, health or social care.
• Understanding SEND, EHCPs and statutory assessment processes.
• Experience working with Local Authorities and commissioners.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong IT skills and CRM usage.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and work under pressure.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours occasionally.

Admissions Manager

Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire (On-site)

Hours: Full Time | Permanent

Salary: £29,338 - £32,793 per annum (pro rata)

This is an on-site role, with an expectation that the successful candidate will work from site a minimum of four days per week (working days to be agreed). Whilst core hours are generally Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, occasional flexibility will be required to support assessment visits, family meetings, open events and other operational requirements outside of normal working hours.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Admissions and Strategic Partnerships, you'll be responsible for managing the complete admissions journey-from the first enquiry through to confirmed placement-ensuring every prospective learner and their family receives a professional, supportive and seamless experience.

Working closely with Local Authorities, commissioners and multidisciplinary professionals, you'll coordinate assessments, manage referrals, support placement decisions and help ensure children and young people access the right specialist provision at the right time.

You'll also play a key role in improving occupancy, developing admissions processes, analysing performance data and continually enhancing the applicant experience.

No two days are ever the same.
