Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a MSW/LSW for full-time night shifts (Mon-Thu, 10pm-8am) to facilitate admissions, conduct clinical intake assessments, and oversee utilization review to ensure appropriate levels of care and optimal use of benefits and resources.

The role requires a BAS/MSW or equivalent, with licensure preferred and prior behavioral health experience. Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, maintaining records, and ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Perform benefit eligibility to ensure patient benefits are active at admission.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff for referrals.
• Coordinate admission and transfer between referral sources and levels of care.
• Maintain knowledge of milieu management.
• Communicate projected admissions to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure clinical information is received prior to admission when possible.
• Complete pre-admission assessments with the physician and communicate disposition.
• Prepare and maintain medical records for payor authorization.
• Complete initial pre-authorization for treatment.
• Admit the patient and complete forms.
• Provide empathetic, professional customer service and address complaints.
• Coordinate care for patients not admitted and arrange follow-up.
