Job summary

The Farley Center in Williamsburg, VA, part of Summit BHC, seeks an Director of Intake to lead admission operations, develop revenue-generating strategies, and ensure compliant, efficient processes. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, and partner with corporate teams to align with regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in healthcare admissions, with experience in behavioral health; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, CPR/de-escalation training, and a commitment to quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Two or more years’ healthcare admissions experience required.
• Experience in the alcohol and drug field or psychiatric treatment field required.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available on hire).

Responsibilities

• Manages the intake and admissions process for incoming patients.
• Provides pre-admissions screen of prospective clients.
• Coordinates approval process with leadership.
• Leads staff through hiring, orientation, performance assessment and coaching.
• Maintains productivity aligned with client census and staffing.
• Ensures admissions services are integrated into facility operations.
