Job summary

Serco in Newport is seeking an Administrator to support the Employment, Skills and Training team on the Restart Contract. You’ll welcome visitors, maintain records, input data accurately and help organise training sessions.

The role emphasizes customer service, front-of-house delivery, and strong IT skills with Word, Excel and Outlook. A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Location: Newport, NP20 1FX

Salary: £24,454.04 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30 or 09:00 to 17:00

What You’ll Do As An Administrator

Vetting And Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.

This role also requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards.
