Job summary

Mears Group PLC is seeking two Administrators in Coatbridge to support multiple teams, ensuring efficient and accurate administrative work. Roles include fixed-term and permanent contracts, with 40-hour weeks and start times 08:00–16:30.

The successful candidates will be proactive, methodical and able to work on their own initiative, maintaining records, producing reports and assisting with payroll and audits as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in administration or customer service.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience with high-volume, fast-turnaround admin tasks.
  • Proactive and methodical approach.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records, databases and documentation with data quality in mind.
  • Produce reports, spreadsheets and KPI information to support decisions.
  • Provide admin support including document management, audits and process improvement.
  • Support operational activities such as system implementations and device rollouts.
  • Assist with customer enquiries, community projects and social value reporting.
  • Handle payroll admin including timesheets and reconciliations.

Contract – 1 X Fixed Term Contract / working 40 hours per week 08.00 – 16.30 & 1 X Permanent / working 40 hours per week 08.00 – 16.30

Salary - £28,072.84 Per Annum, Plus Great Company Benefits.

We are looking for 2 X Exceptional Administrator who are proactive, methodical, confident, able to work on their own initiative and support multiple teams within our business on a fixed term contract.

Please note – There are 2 roles available here and the role responsibilities may slightly differ. Specific details to be discussed at interview.

About The Role

The successful Administrator’s will be assertive, positive and flexible with the desire to be that person that everyone turns to for support!!

You will support the team in maintaining the smooth operation of the department; ensuring all administrative procedures are undertaken in accordance with department requirements and in a timely and accurate manner and helping to provide a service to clients that is efficient and effective.

Key for this is to be experienced in working with high volume and fast turnarounds maintaining an efficient and accurate approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation while ensuring data quality and compliance.
  • Produce reports, spreadsheets, KPI information, and analyse data to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business, including document management, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support operational activities, including system implementations, PDA/device rollouts, user administration, and team administration.
  • Investigate queries and support reporting, performance tracking, and action management.
  • Assist with customer complaints administration, community engagement projects, fundraising initiatives, and social value reporting.
  • Provide payroll and financial administration, including processing timesheets, payroll submissions, reconciliations, and job costing support.
Key Criteria
  • Good level of verbal and written communication
  • IT literate – strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload to deadlines
  • Previous experience in Administration or customer service would be ideal
