Job summary

Brown&Co LLP in Cambridge is seeking a professional and highly organised Administrator to provide administrative and secretarial support to our Residential and Commercial Property teams. The role offers varied, interesting work in a busy office and the chance to contribute to high-quality client service.

This permanent full-time position (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday) operates under a Smart Working policy, with a friendly team, opportunities for development, and a generous benefits package

Qualifications

  • Have previous experience in an administrative, secretarial, or office support role.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Have a professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Property sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Residential team and Commercial Property Surveyors.
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules.
  • Preparing (typing from dictation and or notes) correspondence, reports, valuation documents, and property particulars.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintaining client records and property databases.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of property marketing materials.
  • Filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
  • Supporting the wider team with general office administration and ad hoc tasks.
  • Responsibility for the office administrative functions
  • Ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for clients and visitors.
