Job summary

Newbury College seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support college projects, governance and policy administration. You will coordinate activities, prepare and manage documentation, support meetings and take minutes, ensuring records are accurate, current and accessible.

Reporting to the Executive Director – Standards and Projects (EDSP), you will work with Senior Leadership to manage a varied workload with confidentiality and attention to detail, in a 30-hour-per-week role at the Newbury

  • Assist with policy coordination, version control and publishing.
  • Maintain and version control college policies and related records.

Working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, you will coordinate project activities, prepare and manage key documentation, support meetings and take accurate minutes, while ensuring policies and records remain organised, current and accessible. This role would suit an experienced administrator or co-ordinator who is highly organised, confident working with senior colleagues and comfortable managing a varied workload where accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail are essential.You will be an experienced administration professional with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the confidence to build effective working relationships with a range of colleagues and stakeholders. You will be proactive, able to use your initiative and comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills are essential, alongside experience of producing accurate documentation and records.Reporting to the Executive Director – Standards and Projects (EDSP), your key areas of responsibility will include:• Supporting the EDSP with the coordination of college projects, including preparing, maintaining and distributing project documentation and ensuring information is effectively shared with relevant stakeholders• Providing a secretariat function for agreed projects, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, arranging meeting logistics and taking accurate minutes• Supporting procurement and due diligence processes and assisting the Senior Leadership Team with the coordination and reporting of projects.• Supporting College governance arrangements, including Board and committee administration, preparation and circulation of papers and minute taking when required.• Coordinating College policies, ensuring they are kept up to date, appropriately version controlled, approved and published, while supporting authors to produce accurate, high-quality policies.If you would like to have an informal conversation prior to applying, please contact recruitment @newbury-college.ac.uk to arrange a team’s/phone conversation with the hiring manager.About Newbury College and University Centre Newbury:We are a dynamic further and higher education institution located in the heart of West Berkshire, recognised for our forward-thinking approach and commitment to student success.
