Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a Maths Learning Coach to support students in GCSE Maths and related maths provision. You will work closely with maths lecturers to deliver in-class support, provide targeted interventions, and help learners overcome barriers to learning, including SEND.

Similar to an Academic Support Coach, this role focuses specifically on maths, providing targeted support to help learners develop confidence, improve attainment and achieve their full potential.Working closely with maths lecturers, you will provide high-quality in-class support, deliver targeted interventions and help learners overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and make sustained progress. You will support a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND, learning difficulties, high needs and low prior attainment, adapting activities and explanations to meet individual needs.You will also contribute to learner attendance, engagement and achievement through effective communication with staff, students and support teams.
