Job summary

Bitterne Park School is seeking an Administrative Officer to support the Learning Support Department and ensure examination access arrangements are managed accurately and efficiently.

You will work closely with SENDCOs, the Exams team and external agencies, coordinating data, records and reports while providing essential administrative support across the department.

Administrative Officer
Grade 6£29,741 - £32,045 - this is based on full time working, 52 weeks per year.
Part-Time or Full-Time Hours Considered (up to 37 Hours Per Week) | Term Time Only

Are you a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential?

We areseekingan enthusiastic and committed Administrative Officer to join our Learning Support Department.This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring that students receive the support and examination access arrangements they need to succeed.

Working closely with the SENDCOs, Sixth Form SEND Manager, Exams and Data Officer, teaching staff, students, parents/carersand external agencies, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of accessarrangementsfor internal and external examinationswhilstproviding comprehensive administrative support to the Learning Support Department.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and processing accessarrangementsapplications with examination boards.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for students, parents/carers, staffand external agenciesregardingaccessarrangements.
  • Coordinating information gathering relating to SEND and examination support.
  • Leading the main access arrangements examination room during examination periods.
  • Organising invigilator training and coordinating examination cover arrangements.
  • Supporting the administration of EHCP applications and annual reviews.
  • Maintaining departmental records, reports, correspondenceand databases.
  • Assisting with timetabling, resource orderingand general departmental administration.
  • Using systems such as SIMS, Provision Maps and Microsoft Office to analyse data and produce reports.

Other Duties

The post holder may be required to undertake duties other than those specified in this job description, provided that they are of a similar level of responsibility and that appropriate training and support are provided where necessary.
