Job description

Job Title: Administration Assistant

Location: Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 3RT

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Job Type:Part-time two days per week 8.30 - 5.30pm with half hr lunch break.

We are a small firm designing and manufacturing in Cornwall's heartlands. We have a team of 22 designers, surveyors, fabricators and fitters all based at our Pool site. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and are renowned for our ability to take on complex jobs that others turn away.

Main Purpose of role:

  • To provide administration support to the team.
  • To provide reception services as first point of contact on telephones, and for visitors to our showroom.

Main Duties:

  • Provide administration support to the team.
  • Handle telephone enquiries in a confident and courteous manner.
  • Meet and greet visitors to the showroom, and provide refreshments, when required.
  • Show customers our products, in the absence of sales staff, enter leads onto our database and pass on lead details in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotations for customers.
  • Assist with contract processing and ordering.
  • Assist with lead and quotation coordination.
  • Process customer card payments.
  • Maintain computer and paper filing systems.
  • Update in house databases with relevant information.
  • Assist with marketing output.
  • Assist with event preparation.
  • Order and maintain stock and stationery supplies.
  • Manage post in and out.
  • Undertake varied and relevant duties as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
  • GCSE/GCE English & Maths grade A-C, and qualified to A level or equivalent.
  • IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pay attention to detail and present your work to a high standard.
  • Flexible and open to change.

  • Office Manager/PA to Directors

  • In house training will be provided.
  • We encourage and support further vocational development.
