We are currently seeking an Admin Assistant for a full-time position in Manchester, reporting to the Cyber Underwriting Manager.

This is an entry-level role suitable for a school leaver, graduate, or someone seeking a career change into the insurance industry.

Your responsibilities will include handling system processes end-to-end, including any e-trade platform used in support of the cyber account.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage your workload efficiently to support the team.
  2. Prepare necessary documentation, calculate premium adjustments, and process debits based on rating and underwriting schedules.
  3. Prepare renewal statistics, including premium and claims experience, as requested by Underwriters.
  4. Contribute positively to the team’s effectiveness by suggesting improvements to work systems and processes.
  5. Respond to customer inquiries and manage allocated mail with ownership.
  6. Work flexibly within the team, assisting colleagues during busy periods to ensure high-quality customer service.
  7. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve personal competencies and achieve objectives.
  8. Maintain open communication and collaboration across all lines of business, including sales and development functions.
  9. Build and sustain strong internal relationships with team members, Claims Department, Sales and Development Team, Syndicate, and Directors.
  10. Develop and maintain external relationships with contacts within intermediaries and customers.
  11. Perform other duties as directed within the scope of the role.
  12. Promote good conduct to deliver the best outcomes for customers and policyholders.
  13. Understand escalation processes and responsibilities related to Conduct Risk strategies and committees.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic technical and product knowledge with a genuine interest in cyber insurance and a desire to learn more.
  • Ability to understand established systems and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage workloads effectively.
