A leading insurance company seeks an Underwriting Assistant in Glasgow to support their underwriting team. The role involves assisting with Scottish Bonds, delivering excellent customer service, and requires solid analytical and numerical skills. We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant to join our established and experienced Profin team.
This role will be full time in our Glasgow office.
This job involves assisting underwriters and trading Scottish Executory Bonds cases within agreed processes to achieve business development and retention targets. You will spend the majority of your time supporting our underwriting team with multiple tasks that are required on a daily basis.
Once proficient in the team’s processes, you will then have the opportunity to be trained on the underwriting principles and in time delivering underwriting decisions, negotiating and referring cases, and managing solicitor and broker interactions.
You will be working within a team and with other colleagues responsible for underwriting risks. You will have excellent analytical, relationship management and communication skills. The job will be predominately Scottish Bonds focused.
This role demands that you deliver the highest levels of customer service, both to internal and external customers.
To be successful in your role of Underwriting Assistant you will ideally have some previous office based customer service experience. You will need to be numerical and analytical to underwrite your caseload of policies.
