Job summary

Warwickshire Police in Rugby is seeking a proactive administrator to support the VR, AL & Alarms functions while ensuring policy and legal compliance. The role covers alarms, vehicle recovery, abnormal loads, security systems and IT record management.

You will be the main contact, liaising with colleagues and external agencies, travelling across Warwickshire as required, and contributing to change processes and business continuity.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English Language required.
• Good knowledge of the road network within the force area.
• Knowledge of the legislation related to at least one related business area.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests and requirements of service users, outside agencies and the public within legal and policy guidelines to minimise risk and maximise public safety.
• Act as the main point of contact, providing specialist and technical support and advice.
• Receive notification of abnormal loads, check legality of applications, plan routes and liaise with users and partners on route requirements.
• Administer the vehicle recovery scheme, verify seizure reasons and arbitrate on use of statutory powers and disposal of vehicles.
• Be the main point of contact for administration of security systems, update and review details on command and control systems.
• Administer, update, analyse and interrogate IT records in line with MoPI and national guidelines.
