Job summary

Millbrook Healthcare are seeking an Adaptations Technician to join our Northamptonshire team. You will install and adapt equipment in service users’ homes, liaising with clients to plan works and ensure minimal disruption during visits.

The role requires carpentry experience, full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel. We offer a pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday (plus 5 unpaid), and employee discounts through our rewards scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in related environment and position.
• Confident with hand tools and ability to complete tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with empathetic approach.
• Strong attention to detail with speed and accuracy.
• Able to work off own initiative and in a team.
• General carpentry experience is essential.
• Experience with minor adaptations is beneficial.
• Knowledge of building regulations and safe systems of work.
• Full UK driving licence (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Install internal and external grab rails, handrails, and other equipment.
• Carry out minor home repairs and build external timber/composite ramps and steps.
• Discuss works with clients during visits and determine rail heights and layouts.
• Coordinate with administration for pre-work surveys and scheduling.
