Job summary

Millbrook Healthcare is seeking a Community Equipment Technician to join our Northamptonshire team. You will be responsible for delivering, installing and collecting community equipment at homes and related locations across Northamptonshire, including care homes and hospitals.

You will also service and repair equipment as required. The role may involve DBS checks, references and a weekend on-call rota. A company van, generous holiday entitlement and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to load and unload goods, some may be heavy.
  • Basic DIY skills are advantageous.
  • Previous van driving experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery, installation and collection of community equipment within people\'s homes and associated locations across Northamptonshire (e.g., care homes, hospitals, schools).
  • Servicing and repair of equipment where needed.
  • This role may involve DBS disclosure and references as part of regulated activity.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Community Equipment Technician to join the team within our Northamptonshire Community Equipment Service Centre. This position plays a crucial role in helping to transform the lives of those in need. As a healthcare equipment provider, Millbrook Healthcare work in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day to day life. Our community equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation of handrails and grab rails within the home which can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live more independently. As a Driver and Community Equipment Technician with us you will be responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of community equipment within people's homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across Northamptonshire. You may also be involved in the servicing and repair of equipment., Therefore we are open to supporting flexible working requests such as part time working, job shares and flexible hours wherever possible, to support our colleagues life style differences.   • Previous relevant experience is preferable however full training will be provided
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points

  • Due to the adaptations side of the role, basic DIY skills are advantageous
  • Previous van driving experience would be beneficial
  • This role will be part of Same Days and OOH rota involving cover at weekends

  • £26,436.80 + on call payments
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:30-17:00
