Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced ADA Software Engineer for a defence client on a 12‑month contract in Bristol, working fully onsite. The role centers on Ada development and verification, with software V&V using targeted equipment and simulations of missile subsystems.

You will contribute as a member of a small team with little supervision. Key requirements include UML (Rhapsody) and AdaCore experience, DOORS/IBM Config Management tooling, and strong integration testing and debugging skills,

Qualifications

• Experience of UML (Rhapsody) and Ada (AdaCore).
• Knowledge of DOORS and IBM Config Management tooling (EWM) would be useful.
• Suitable skills and experience in Integration testing and debugging.
• Experience of working in High Dependability systems would be beneficial.

Rate: 70ph UMB (Inside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced ADA Software Engineer to join our defence client on a contract basis - you will work as part of a dynamic team, to develop and deliver innovative solutions by exploiting a wide portfolio of software technologies.

Responsibilities:

• To undertake a full range of engineering activities in line with relevant processes, quality and other requirements.
• The role will involve Ada code development and verification.
• The role will involve software V&V, primarily using target-based equipment containing the software under test and complex simulations of other Missile subsystems.
• You will work as part of a small team and be empowered to work individually with little supervision.

Skillset/experience required:

• Experience of both UML (Rhapsody) and Ada (AdaCore).
