Job summary

Teach Plus is seeking an Ad Hoc Teaching Assistant in Edgware on a part-time basis, offering flexible classroom cover to support teachers and pupils across EYFS to KS2. The role involves day-to-day support, 1:1 and small-group help, and potential SEN assistance, with DBS on Update Service desirable. Salary is 108 per day.

The successful candidate will be reliable, flexible and able to adapt to varying daily requirements, contributing to a positive learning environment and safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• School or Teaching Assistant experience advantageous.
• SEN experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Confident working with different age groups.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service desirable.

About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a friendly primary school in Edgware that is looking to build a reliable pool of Ad Hoc Teaching Assistants to provide flexible classroom cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who wants flexibility around their existing commitments while gaining experience across a primary school environment.

The Ad Hoc Teaching Assistant will support teachers with classroom activities, pupil supervision and learning support. There may also be opportunities to provide additional support to pupils with SEN, depending on the school's daily requirements.
