Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking Bank Staff to join the Games Design teaching team on an ad hoc basis. The role involves delivering scheduled sessions, preparing learning materials and supporting students during study time.

You will mark work, participate in moderation and help evaluate the programme, while maintaining college records and quality systems to drive high performance. A degree in the subject, a recognised teaching qualification, and digital skills (Blender and game engines

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline.
• Full recognised teaching qualification.
• Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification.
• Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification.
• Successful teaching experience.
• Knowledge of 3D software and animation skills (Blender preferred).
• Knowledge of game engines desirable.

Responsibilities

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments; prepare learning materials and support students during study periods.
• Marking of students’ work and examinations, internal moderation and verification as part of the team.
• Work with colleagues to monitor, review and evaluate all aspects of the programme.
• Manage and maintain college records and quality systems to ensure high performance.
