Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking Bank Staff to join the Games Design teaching team on an ad hoc basis. The role involves delivering scheduled sessions, preparing learning materials and supporting students during study time.

You will mark work, participate in moderation and help evaluate the programme, while maintaining college records and quality systems to drive high performance. A degree in the subject, a recognised teaching qualification, and digital skills (Blender and game engines

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline.
• Full recognised teaching qualification.
• Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification.
• Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification.
• Successful teaching experience.
• Knowledge of 3D software and animation skills (Blender preferred).
• Knowledge of game engines desirable.

Responsibilities

Bank Staff - Games Design Lecturer

Wirral Met College are currently looking for Lecturer’s in Games Design to support our art department on an ad hoc basis.

Bank staff are paid at an hourly rate.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments. To include the preparation of learning materials, students’ assignments and to support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self-directed study.


• Marking of students’ work and examinations, internal moderation and verification, as part of the team.


• To work alongside colleagues in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme.


• To manage and maintain appropriate College records and quality systems to ensure high performance.

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline


• Full recognised teaching qualification


• Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification
