Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway seeks an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to cover a fixed term leave in the Acute physical setting. Band 5 applicants welcome; rotation programme develops clinical and leadership skills across Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation and Medicine for the Elderly.

The post may include a community rehab rotation at Mountainhall; travel required. Service operates 7 days; weekend and public holiday work is expected as part of rota.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with interest in Acute physical settings.
• Band 5 level suitable for developing skills in clinical and leadership practice.

Responsibilities

• Cover a period of leave in the Acute OT service across rota and weekends.
• Participate in a 6-month rotational programme across specialties.
• Develop skills in both clinical and leadership pillars of practice.
• Support CPD with supervision and appraisal (TURAS).
